The Amplified Push-To-Talk system allows military communications headsets with low impedance, such as Comtac and MSA Sordin, to be compatible with high impedance civilian handheld or general aviation radio systems. If you have connected your military headset to a civilian radio and are experiencing difficulties in being heard on the other end, this system will solve the issue without requiring you to change the headset's microphone or use a separate in-line amplifier.
Featuring a high-performance amplification circuit, the system is designed with a TP-120 / U-174 / U-93 / Helicopter socket on the headset end and a Motorola 2-pin plug on the radio end. It also includes a NATO standard U94 body with an alligator clip for easy attachment to clothing or MOLLE webbing.
The system comes pre-wired for Military / NATO-US wired headsets, with the mic configuration as MIC -, EAR +, MIC +, EAR -. If you prefer a different wiring format such as NATO-UK, Off-road, PCI, etc., please contact us for customization options.
Designed with a heavy-duty coiled cable, this Amplified Push-To-Talk system is a convenient solution for ensuring clear communication between military headsets and civilian radio systems.
