The COMBATGEAR Y Cable Connector Boom Mic K U94 PTT is designed for Howard Leight Safety Earmuffs to be converted into a communicated headset. It is not recommended to use it separately. This Y cable connector is compatible with Howard Leight earmuffs, MSA Sordin headsets, and Pelto Tactical 500-300 with aux 3.5mm plug.
The Y Cable Kit for Howard/Sordin Earmuffs converts them into a communicated headset. It includes a long Y cable connector boom mic K U94 PTT compatible with COMTA headsets. There is also a short Y cable connector boom microphone U94 PTT compatible with COMTA headsets.

The microphone is a boom microphone for Comtac series of headsets and comes with one pin 3.5mm size plug that is non-removable.
Installation guide: Step 1 - Put the larger Velcro on the side of the earmuff with the aux jack, insert the Y-line plug into the headset aux, adjust the microphone position, and fix it on the headset with a circular Velcro. Step 2 - Connect the Y line to the Ke PTT, then the PTT to the walkie-talkie, adjust the frequency of the walkie-talkie, install the battery, and turn on the headset to start communication.
