The 3M Rugged Comfort Quick Latch Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6500 Series is designed to provide workers with respiratory protection in challenging, dirty work environments where airborne contaminants are present. This facepiece offers a combination of comfort, durability, and stability thanks to its firm, lightly textured silicone faceseal and strong body construction. The innovative quick latch design allows for easy one-handed operation, making it simple to put the facepiece on and take it off while moving in and out of contaminated areas. Additionally, the quick latch eliminates the need to remove a hardhat or faceshield when lowering or raising the respirator.

When used with approved 3M cartridges and filters, this respirator is capable of providing respiratory protection in workplaces where concentrations of contaminants may be up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). Despite being the lightest silicone 3M half facepiece available, it is still rugged enough to withstand extended wear in extreme conditions. The resilient silicone faceseal ensures a long facepiece life, maintaining its shape even in high-heat environments.

The facepiece features a valve cover that helps direct exhaled breath downward, as well as 3M’s Cool Flow Valve to facilitate easier breathing.
