One of our standout products is the Modacrylic/Cotton/Nylon blend Sol Shade, designed to provide flame and arc resistance while reducing sun exposure to the head and neck. This accessory attaches to the brim of hard hats using two enclosed elastic channels that securely grab the edges of the hard hat. Tested to fit a variety of styles of hard hats from multiple manufacturers, the Sol Shade is manufactured in Santa Ana, California by Benchmark FR for welders, linemen, utility workers, oilfield workers, and refinery workers.

Crafted from a skin-safe flame-resistant blend of Modacrylic, Lyocell, and Para Aramid fabric, the Sol Shade offers a level of safety with CAT/HRC 1 6.4 cal/cm2 and meets the requirements of performance specifications ASTM F1506, NFPA 70E, and OSHA 1910.269.

For maintenance, the Sol Shade can be machine washed in warm water and tumble dried on low heat. It is important not to use bleach to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of the flame-resistant properties of the garment.
